Kindred Spirits Quilt Co. is your local quilt shop, sewing machine supply store, longarm dealer, and fabric store for St. Catharines and the Niagara Region.
Kindred Spirits, in the heart of the Niagara Region, is where quilting connects hearts and hands. We are more than a shop—we’re a gathering place for makers of all skill levels. Here you’ll find vibrant fabrics, trusted tools, and friendly faces ready to share in your quilting journey. Join us for classes, events and inspiration, and be part of a community that stitches together creativity and friendship.

Our History
Originally opened in March of 2010, by owner Michelle, Kindred Spirits Quilt Co. aims to be a place where the quilting community gathers and grows. We quickly outgrew our first store on Martindale Rd. and moved to a new spot a few units down in the same plaza. After 15 years we were once again bursting at the seams and so Kindred Spirits Quilt Co. moved to the design district of St. Catharines in January of 2026 and is now thriving in its third (much larger and brighter) location.
At Kindred Spirits, we’re passionate about all things quilting and sewing! As a trusted quilt shop and authorized retailer for Baby Lock sewing machines, Handi Quilter longarm quilting machines, and AccuQuilt, we’re here to support your creativity every stitch of the way.
We carry a variety of notions - including patterns, books, rulers, and bag hardware, fabric - including Moda, Northcott, Wilmington Prints, Freespirit, Fireside, and Kona Cottons, thread - including Aurifil, Gutermann, Sulky, Glide and Wonderfil.
We have a certified technical team that can service both domestic sewing machines, embroidery machines, sergers, and longarms. We offer a variety of classes, both project and technique based, as well as hold regular longarm clubs geared towards building skills and confidence.
Our website is updated regularly to reflect new and current stock as well as classes, and events. If you're too far to visit us regularly we happily ship orders cross country.

Lakeside Park Carousel
The Lakeside Park Carousel is one of approximately 350 antique hand-carved carousels still operating in North America - only nine of which are in Canada. It features 68 animals, including horses, lions, camels, goats and giraffes, plus four chariots.

The Port Dalhousie Inner Range Lighthouse is one of only three remaining lighthouses on the Great Lakes with this shape.
